Configure Solution for Transactability in Partner Center
Setup Tax and Payout Profile
Configuring your technical requirements is essential for ensuring smooth transactions and compliance within Partner Center. This page provides detailed steps for creating and managing your tax and payment profiles, as well as assigning and editing them as needed. Proper setup of these profiles ensures that your payouts and tax information are correctly processed and managed.
Create a New Tax Profile
1.
Select Account Settings > Payout and tax profile assignment. Note: the Incentives Admin role is required to access this section.
2.
Expand the information associated with the Azure Marketplace program. Select the dropdown under Tax Profile and click Create New.
3.
You will be directed to another Microsoft site outside of Partner Center. Complete the required information with the information needed for your W-9, then select Finish to complete the process and return to Partner Center.
Important!
Never enter personal information. Be sure to only enter information about your company.
Add your Payment Method
1.
Select the dropdown under Payment method and click Create New.
2.
You will be directed to another Microsoft site outside of Partner Center. Complete the required information with the information required, then select Finish to complete the process and return to Partner Center.
Tip!
If you need more information about a field as you’re going through the process, select its information icon.
Assign the Created Profiles & Submit
1.
Select your newly created tax profile from the dropdown, your newly created payment profile from the dropdown, and select a currency.
2.
Select Submit.
3.
After submitting, allow up to 48 hours for Microsoft to process your information. Check back to ensure all three check boxes get to green, which validates that your payout and tax profile is set up.
Edit your Tax or Payment Profiles
1.
Navigate to Account Settings > Payout and tax profiles. Note: the Incentives Admin role is required to access this section.
2.
Select the Tax profiles tab or the Payment profiles tab, depending which you want to edit.
3.
Find the program and Seller ID combination for which you want to configure information. Select Edit to open the configuration window where you can modify information.
Proper configuration of your tax and payment profiles is crucial for effective management of transactions and compliance within Partner Center. By following these steps, you can ensure that your profiles are correctly set up and maintained, allowing you to focus on other aspects of your business operations. Regularly check and update your profiles as needed to ensure accuracy and compliance.
